Healing Has Come

“I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him, creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near,” says the Lord. “And I will heal them.” (Isaiah 57:17-19).

What a promise God brings to us this day my friends!

Here is the wonderful grace of God drawing those who have been distant from him walking away from his ways. They are in pain emotionally, spiritually and perhaps even physically. God says, “I WILL HEAL THEM!” I will cure their sickness and remove their sin by the blood of Christ. He speaks permanent wholeness to them.

They have walked in a maze of confusion and chaos. They do not know what to do or where to go and feel insignificant and God says, “I WILL GUIDE THEM.” I will give them purpose and direction their steps will be confident and sure because GOD will take them by the hand to where he wants them to go. He speaks purpose to them.

Their guilty conscience will be cleared and cleansed by realizing Christ suffered once for all for their sins! God says, “I WILL RESTORE COMFORT” to them and they will no longer feel guilty for their sins. In the Old Covenant people would loathe themsleves for their sins, when God would work by grace. But now he who is greater than our conscience in the New Covenant cleanses us from all our guilty feelings and sense of being condemned.

Here is a great miracle, God says, “I WILL CREATE PRAISE!” He is the one who authors the worship and praise that comes from our lips. It is not something manufactured or coerced. It is a praise he produces by the fruit of his Spirit and by praying in the Spirit. The Amplified version says, “I will make his lips blossom anew with speech in thankful praise!”

God says he will speak perfect peace to his people. “I WILL SPEAK PEACE AGAIN AND AGAIN” He will calm them down, he will still the storm of their hearts and the thrashing waves of their minds. He will make them cool of spirit. The Lord of peace himself will give them peace at all times and in every way. When Jesus died he gave us righteousness, grace and peace.

Once again he says, “I WILL HEAL THEM!” Like two fresh slices of gospel bread he promises healing once again. A healing with significance and direction, guilt free comfort, joyful praise and perfect peace.

See Jesus Christ in the breaking of this bread today and he shares it with you. Let him feed your soul. It’s ok, he wants you to have this.
